Inspection by SafeSlide

Swimming pools and amusement parks risk hefty fines or even closure without professional inspections and official reports. Ideally, you'd outsource the inspection to a single provider who gets it right the first time. That provider is SafeSlide.

Need your water slide inspected?

Get it right the first time with SafeSlide! We check the following points, among others, according to all legal standards and requirements:

  • Log
  • Instruction signs
  • Bolt connections
  • Steel construction
  • Flange connections
  • Chutes
  • Seams
  • Shielding
  • Pump installation
  • Walking routes, stairs, and more

This is how it works

During the inspection

We'll explain how everything works and what you need to consider. We'll check whether every part of the water slide or attraction meets legal requirements . You'll then receive a professional report. Need maintenance, renovation, or (re)inspection? We're happy to take care of that for you, either independently or with one of our partners.

Inspections and re-inspections

SafeSlide is certified to perform all relevant inspections, including an official report. In addition, the water slide or attraction must have an official quality mark. Quality marks are awarded by a recognized inspection body (AKI) based on the Commodities Act Decree on Attractions and Playground Equipment (WAS) and the European standards NEN-EN1069-1 and -2. We collaborate with the Keurmerkinstituut BV and TÜV for this and are happy to refer you. Read more about (re)inspection .

Safety first

The purpose of the inspection is to ensure the safety of the water slide or attraction. And therefore the safety of the people (often children) who use it daily. Professional inspections and reports provide companies and municipalities with certainty and help prevent legal problems. At SafeSlide, we make sure you don't miss anything.

Frequently asked questions about inspection & reporting

According to the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) and the guidelines of the Water Quality Assurance Act (WAS) decree, water slides and playground equipment must be safe for use. Regular inspections help identify wear, corrosion, damage, or abnormalities in time, thus preventing accidents or closure. An independent report also provides proof of safety to your insurer, municipality, or inspection body. SafeSlide provides comprehensive documentation and certificates that support professionalism and accountability.
During the inspection, the construction, coating, fasteners, water circulation, access steps, safety systems, and sliding or usage performance are examined both visually and technically. The standard also requires that sliding tests are performed and documentation such as maintenance and overhaul records are checked. Afterward, you will receive a report with findings, photos, and an urgency code for any necessary actions. This will give you insight into which components require attention and when follow-up maintenance is required.
The frequency depends on the type of attraction, intensity of use, age, and location, but at a minimum, annually or seasonally is often recommended. For larger operations or if there are any deviations, an interim inspection may be necessary. SafeSlide advises you on the appropriate frequency for your situation based on a baseline measurement or initial inspection. This prevents surprises and ensures continuous safety.
You'll receive a comprehensive report with clear findings, photos, an indication of the urgency level for any repairs or maintenance, and a sticker or certificate if the attraction meets the requirements. SafeSlide will discuss the results with you and advise you on actions and planning. If desired, subsequent maintenance or renovation can be scheduled, allowing you to proceed seamlessly from inspection to implementation.
Yes — SafeSlide takes care of you not only technically but also administratively: the inspection report is tailored to the requirements of inspection bodies and insurers. In collaboration with organizations such as the Keurmerkinstituut (Dutch Certification Institute), SafeSlide supports you with the correct documentation and certification. This means you have fewer internal costs and are assured of a correct, complete delivery of the inspection phase.
